Preliminary  Task

For our preliminary task, everyone understood what was happening so our sequence of evens and continuity editing was clear and understood by the viewer. We missed out some of our brief which we need to focus on doing next time so that it is clear that we've followed the instructions as to what we needed to do. Most people noticed that we used match on action, shot reverse shot and the 180 degree, a few people did not notice this so maybe we should try and make there use a bit more obvious next time. Everyone enjoyed our sound effects, mise-en-scene and editing skills that we incorporated with in our preliminary task as it added comical or a tense atmosphere which was good because our film was meant to be a comedy horror. For improvements, everybody said that we need to include more speech and make it longer so that it would be a lot more effective.

Our teacher said to us that we had a nice canted pan at the beginning, he liked our extreme closeup, he enjoyed our sound effects e.g. cat noises and he saw that our shots such as shot reverse shot was clear. However, the upload of our quality was not the greatest so next time we need to use software that improves this, wind noise was distracting, another thing to think about was to make our sound fade in the our music so that it isn't as abrupt finally make sure that we need to be softer with the camera so that when we editing our film together there is no background noise to be heard.
