In this clip, James DeMonaco speaks about the Purge. He is extremely knowledgeable about each character with in the film and also the film itself. To create this film, he thought about all of his beliefs and philosophies. Also the film was influenced by political factors. The film attracted an audience because the subject is so controversial as it sees urban areas of America with so much hate. There is no fantasy with in this horror, it is all gritty realism which would make an audience anticipate.
